On her 2007 piece with in collaboration with her husband, artist Evelyn Clowes had this to say about their piece:
“We created site specific sculptures. We visited MSU to get to know the site and to learn the mission, as our goal was to create an artistic or sculptural expression that speaks to both. We feel this sculpture is an expression of a nurturing and caring gesture toward animals, which is what the Veterinary Teaching Hospital is all about – it’s a compassionate, loving place.”
