Marion Overby completed this terra cotta bas relief, entitled “Early Postman,” in 1939 with funds provided by the Treasury Section of Fine Arts. It is part of a wide array of New Deal art history in many post offices all over the State of Michigan. It can be viewed in the lobby of the historic Mason post office.
