Artist Eichinger is known for his bronze narrative sculptures that, as he puts it, “chronicle the eternal human pursuit of meaning, happiness, and growth.” e Born in Michigan, he attended Michigan State University for advanced sculpture study and since, has been sculpting for over 20 years. He currently lives in Oregon, is an influential figure in the Northwestern sculpting community, and is represented by many elite galleries across the country.

This bronze sculpture was commissioned by Lansing Community College (LCC) as part of their $50 million dollar renovation on their downtown campus. LCC leaders decided that part of those renovation costs should go towards public art, and have since installed 15 public art pieces throughout campus.
